The lead trainer on most of these courses is a Band 6 Looked After Children Practitioner in NHS CAMHS with a live caseload of placement breakdown and blocked care. She is an NMC Practice Supervisor and Practice Assessor, attends child protection conferences, writes court reports and sits on multi-agency exploitation and Channel panels.
That matters here more than anywhere else in the catalogue. Carers can tell within ten minutes whether the person at the front has sat in a placement stability meeting, and the day does not recover if the answer is no.

Two trainers, one from each specialism, because a single trainer reliably favours the side they trained in. Both wrong turns are covered at the same weight, including the one practitioners cause.
Carers and the people who supervise them are two bookings
A foster carer will not say they have stopped feeling anything for a child in front of the person who writes their annual review. Put both audiences in one room and you disable them both, so Blip runs the blocked care day for carers and a separate half day for supervising social workers, support workers, team managers and IROs.
Booked together we quote for the pair, and services that take both get a consistent vocabulary on either side of the table, which is where most of the value sits. The half day teaches staff to hear a disclosure without escalating it, and it states in writing, in the deck and in the handbook, that no safeguarding, recording or placement threshold has moved.
Blip's confidentiality position on the carers' day does not vary: attendance figures and anonymous group evaluation come back to the commissioner, and nothing an individual carer says in the room does. It is stated to delegates at the start, and it is the reason the day works.
Wales and England are not the same course
Safeguarding is delivered as two editions, because the Wales Safeguarding Procedures use different words, a different reporting route and a fifth category of abuse. Blip's Welsh language position is stated plainly on every quote: the current trainers deliver in English, and where Welsh medium delivery is required we arrange a Welsh speaking associate trainer or a qualified interpreter at no additional cost to the participant.
