For young people

Mental health support on your terms

For young people aged 16 to 25. No GP referral. No parent permission required.

Young person sitting in a calm, light-filled space

If CAMHS discharged you at 18, or told you you’re too complex for one service and not complex enough for another, or you just want to talk to someone without your parents knowing, you’re in the right place. You refer yourself. You decide who knows.

You’ll see the same clinician every time, not whoever’s available that week. Triage within five working days, assessment within three weeks. Sessions are by secure videoconferencing, so there’s no commute, no waiting room.

At 16, the law presumes you can make your own healthcare decisions. That means we don’t share what you tell us with your parents unless there’s a serious risk of harm involved. Your clinician will explain that exception clearly before your first session, not in the small print.

Your case gets reviewed by a proper team: consultant psychiatrist, senior CAMHS practitioners, occupational therapist, family therapist. Not one person deciding everything on their own.

The gap at 18

CAMHS ends. Adult mental health services are set up for a different kind of presentation. A lot of people at 18, 19, 20 don’t fit either. Blip runs to 25 deliberately, whether you’re at university, in work, or still working out what comes next.
