Why this is a separate booking from the carers' day
A carer will not say they have stopped feeling anything for a child in front of the person who writes their annual review. Running both audiences together disables them both.
Services that book the pair get a consistent vocabulary on both sides of the table, which is where most of the value is. Booked together we quote for the pair.
This session does not lower any threshold
Section 03 is explicit, in the deck and in the handbook, that a child at risk of harm, a carer who says they cannot keep a child safe, and a placement that is genuinely ending all go through normal routes, the same day.
The session is about what happens to everything that is not one of those three, which in most caseloads is the great majority of it. We would not deliver it any other way and we are happy to have that scrutinised before you book.
Who delivers it
Vivien Beni, a Registered Mental Health Nurse and Band 6 Looked After Children Practitioner in NHS CAMHS, holding a live caseload of placement breakdown and blocked care. She is an NMC Practice Supervisor and Practice Assessor, deputises for her Clinical Service Manager, attends child protection conferences and sits on multi-agency panels. The recording pressure this session describes is not being described from outside it.
Assessment and evidence
Every delivery produces the paperwork an employer, a commissioner or an inspector will ask for. It is collected from the first course, not retrofitted later.

It is not permission to record less or to hold a safeguarding concern. It is not clinical supervision for your staff and does not substitute for the supervision you owe them. It is not DDP, Theraplay, Foundations for Attachment, Nurturing Attachments or Non-Violent Resistance. We are explicit about all of this with delegates on the third slide.
