“I am passionate about helping children, young people and their families to gain a better understanding of their difficulties, and to learn practical coping skills to aid their recovery. My clients describe me as warm and understanding, and value the time I give each individual to ensure we build a trusting therapeutic relationship from the start. I work closely with the client's goals and guide them through alternative ways of understanding their emotions, patterns of behaviour and difficult thoughts. I include parents and carers as required to support the treatment plan.”
Anna has 16 years of experience working with children and young people across third sector, NHS linked and private health care settings. Her career includes working in child advocacy, exploitation, child protection and care settings, with the past 7 years spent working in children's mental health services. Anna is known for being child centred and is a strong advocate for supporting the voices of children and families to be heard. She trained in both low and high intensity evidence based psychological therapies, with experience of adapting treatment plans as required to meet the needs of neurodivergent children and young people.
